There are many practices one need to imbibe in order to reduce the risk of being attacked by malicious agents. These include but not limited to the following practices;

  1. Do not bypass policy or process
  2. Do not change or share information without approval
  3. Follow policy and procedures for validating user’s identity
  4. Do not write your password down as it can be seen by someone
  5. Do not allow others to use your corporate computer or accounts
  6. Be skeptical of email links, attachments and unsolicited or unexpected calls
  7. Do not click links in unexpected emails, text messages or messages suspicious application
  8. Do not install unauthorized software or suspicious applications on your computing devices.
  9. Do not permit unknown or insecure devices to connect to the same network – wireless or wired. 
  10. Do not reveal your personal or company confidential information to the public especially on the internet
