Threat hunting

Threat hunting is a proactive cybersecurity approach that involves actively searching for potential security threats that may have evaded detection by traditional security controls.

It’s a human-led process that leverages advanced analytics, machine learning, and expertise to identify anomalies and suspicious behavior in networks, systems, and data.

Threat hunters use various tools and techniques, such as threat intelligence, incident response, and penetration testing, to anticipate and prepare for potential attacks. By taking a proactive stance, threat hunters can reduce the dwell time of attackers, prevent data breaches, and improve overall security posture.

Effective threat hunting requires a deep understanding of the organization’s environment, threat landscape, and attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs). By staying ahead of threats, organizations can minimize risk and strengthen their cybersecurity resilience.
